ABOUT
My name is Davis King, and I work as an IT Specialist with a primary focus on support. In my role, I assist with day-to-day IT tasks across the office and am always ready to lend a hand wherever I’m needed, even outside of my usual domain. My passion for technology, particularly cybersecurity and IT, has been with me for as long as I can remember. I first got into building computers at around 13 years old—initially to play the latest games. But as I built more systems, my interest grew into a fascination with how they work.
The ever-evolving nature of technology is what excites me most. I enjoy the challenges that come with working in IT and cybersecurity, especially the need to continuously adapt and learn. In this field, you have to be prepared to keep up with constant change and be open to learning 24/7 to stay ahead of emerging trends and threats.
Professional Background
I graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and a minor in Computer Science. I hold the CompTIA Security+ certification and am currently pursuing the Certified Defensive Security Analyst (CDSA) certification through Hack the Box (HTB).
In my current role, I focus on IT support, ensuring the stability and functionality of office systems. However, my responsibilities extend beyond traditional support tasks—I also manage network security scans, create custom inventories of office assets, and help with various other IT-related needs. I take pride in wearing multiple hats and contributing to the smooth operation of the office, all while expanding my expertise in cybersecurity.

Passions and Interest
I’m deeply passionate about cybersecurity because I believe in the power of technology to drive progress, but also in the responsibility we have to protect it. There’s nothing more rewarding than the feeling you from identifying and remediating vulnerabilities before they can be exploited—whether that’s securing critical infrastructure during elections or improving network defenses. I thrive in environments where I can leverage my problem-solving skills, communicate with cross-functional teams, and stay on top of ever-evolving threats.
Ethical hacking is another area that excites me. I love the challenge of thinking like an attacker to better defend against potential threats, whether through penetration testing or threat hunting. My goal is to continue growing my expertise and help organizations build stronger defenses by proactively identifying and addressing weaknesses.
At the heart of my work is a strong desire to contribute to a safer, more secure digital world. I’m driven by the idea that a well-secured network means peace of mind for individuals, businesses, and communities alike.
